First off, a thousand thank yous. A million. I was totally overwhelmed at the outpouring of caring and warm wishes in response to my last post–just bowled over and deeply touched. I now feel a whole lot more comfortable writing/filming posts about work; the good as well as the not-so-good. Again, manymanymany thanks.
Secondly, I find myself missing New Orleans. I miss my honey and I miss my dog. They’re both still down there working on the house. Well, BigB is working on the house. Maisie is mostly lying on the porch. I miss the warmer weather and I miss my Raspberry Pearl Baby.
Being from New York City, I never did learn how to drive a car.

I learned how to ride a bicycle on a dirt road between two rice fields in the Philippines. My friend Ronnie was holding the seat so I wouldn’t tip over. When I looked around, he wasn’t behind me anymore. I had fun riding around rice fields, passing water buffalos and goats.

Very nice bike! Brand new? Is it with you in New York right now? It’s kinda neat how you don’t really need a car in New York. I so need my car here, w/o it I don’t know what I would do.
BTW, azuki beans are (how should I say) an acquired taste. Imagine sticky, slimy baked beans at the bottom of your slushee and that’s azuki beans in the shave ice. Not my favorite, but a lot of people here like it.

I’ve never seen a person on a bicycle who wasn’t smiling. Really. I see joggers everyday who are tense, winded, unhappy, but even except in serious bike races, people I’ve seen biking are grinning.
You are just too cute. I really want to dust off the camera and start posting! Must learn how to post in Quicktime!

She’s back!! It was sooooo great to see a new post. I check you several times a day and seeing you smiling on a bike on a clear day was heart lifting.
I have to really give you my admiration for the music you use in your posts. Where did you get that fantastic version of “Also Sprach Zarathusa”!!??
Welcome back!

You are completely allowed to kill me for not letting this one die long after it ceased being funny but…”Did you ever take it off any sweet jumps?”
I couln’t live without a car. Granted here there isn’t a subway to get around on. New York traffic is horrible and the drivers are rude. I’ve never heard more honking in my life than when I was in NYC. Here the age for getting a lisence is 14 contrary to the standard of 16 for most states.(A remnant of when farming was more family based and not at the disposal of a corporation.) Almost every kid 9-12th grade has their own car here as well. What a waste of gas but when you’re used to the convienience, not having a car can make you crazy.
Nice to see you happier,
Evan

No, I didn’t record that music! I belong to that big group of vloggers who only records her own music 15% of the time thus setting off the debate about copyright infringment. I totally forgot to post the music details…I’ll get to that today.
Evan! They let 14 year olds drive? Holy cow. I’ll keep my thoughts on that to myself. Drive carefully, Man. No “sweet jumps”! I’m scared to drive in traffic much less jump over anything!

Yes but first a 2 week, three hour a day course has to be completed about traffic laws as well as a one week one hour a day course on the actual driving and even before that ND’s INCREDIBLY hard permit test has to be passed. (It took me three tries). The actual drivers lisence test is a piece of cake compared to all of that.
P.S. I’m 15 going on 16 in a little over a month not 14. I got my lisence at early 15 though.

And you should be a filmmaker; what a talent you have; how did you get the little flourish sparkle on the film!?

I know this is morbid, but I was expecting Wile E Coyote to be hiding around the corner with an anvil.
I loved the score for that one, Miss B.
