My boyfriend likes to pick-up peculiar objects off of the street. This is one of those objects. I hope I don’t come off as snarky, or mocking this kid’s pain. I don’t have kids, and I don’t spend a lot of time with teens anymore; this Love Letter From Hell really sums up how much being in love (or thinking you’re in love) can suck when you don’t have the life experience to mentally process a painful break-up. We all know we’ve been there. We all remember. Vividly.
Call me crazy, but I think a teenaged broken heart is more dangerous than it used to be.
Click that picture or this for the video.
*nicknames have been changed to protect the innocent.
Featured music includes “ThePower of Love” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood: the most overly dramatic love song I can think of from my teen years, and “No Chump Love Sucker” by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, which is the angriest break-up song I can think of from the same period.

i work with youth, and while sometimes there’s high drama, it’s usually not on this scale, but then i teach them video and web design most of the time.
i remember “the power of love” from my high school years, and even then i thought it was waaaaaaay over the top, but your use was perfect for the letter.

It kind of sounds like a Jesus and Mary Chain song (Darklands).

Now that’s love…
Perhaps it’s a GOOD thing that I didn’t have a boyfriend when I was 14…

MissB,
ROCK!
It’s so amazing that what we deem important at any age can look very ridiculous to us later on in life.
Mind you, when I was 14, I don’t think I was carrying knives around…
Today is a scary place.

Am I going to hell for laughing my face off?
Since it’s your fault, can you supply me with face epoxy?

You crack me up.
Hang on to that piece of paper. You may very well be using it as exhibit A… hope no one’s hidden in a closet somewhere in NY bleeding to death… the things you find on the streets of NYC. I miss it!
