Miss you already…

Today was Miss Maisie’s last day on Earth. She was a terrific friend who would never think to ask for anything from you but the other half of your sandwich. She loved noogies and red licorice. She was warm and soft and always there for me.

I miss her terribly already and it hasn’t even been a whole day.

I’m very sorry, too. That is a beautiful tribute to Maisie. (I lost my canine buddy 20 months and 4 days ago–the day before my 2nd daughter was born–and I still have to remind myself that she’s not around to snuff up the food I drop while cooking.)

As someone who lives with three dogs and four cats, I know how special they are in our lives. They are not pets or “animal companions”; they are family. You have my deepest sympathy on your loss.

    Oh, MissB;
    I am so so sorry.
The death of a dear pet is so hard; time heals, though; really, it does. I’ve been there.
    Huge hugs to you. xo

This is going to sound stupid I know, but I really believe Maisie is in doggy heaven now, free from pain, running and playing and I do think you will see her again someday….

I know that may sound silly but I do belive it…take care B….

I couldn’t watch the whole thing. I lost Homer the cat last week to cancer. He was my best friend. I could not be more sorry and empathize more with losing your friend. Please take care.

3 A.M. and I am crying. They ask for so little in return for the purest of love. What a gift she was. Peace.

I thought I had signed this, but perhaps it didn’t “take.” I am so very sorry to hear about Maisie. Even though we know it’s the kindest thing we can do when they have reached the point of such diminished quality of life, it’s still so hard to say goodbye.

    Hugs.

Just wanted to let you know I watched this. It mad me sad. I am sad for you. But it made me smile too. It looks like you had a wonderful ten years with your girl. LOL, that Madonna costume was something else. I hope the time I have with my Grace will be as well spent as your time with Miss Maisie. I pray you continue to be comforted in this time of loss.

    sorry to hear about that…
I often think about getting a dog however over here it would be rather tough, as there really isn’t anywhere for the animal to play…

I used to dread the day that I would have to say goodbye to my little furballs.

    But they are still young.

And I realized that every moment worrying about their end was a moment I took away from their everydays.

I’m 100% sure that Maisie was a happy dog, because you guys are awesome.

Condolences for your dog’s epilogue. But to think of how much love she had, I can’t help but smile.

I just saw this! I’m so sorry not commenting earlier. My deepest sympathies. Although I never met Maisie, I know she was a really awesome, loving dog.

I’m glad you shared this vid on your vlog. My dog is coming towards the end of his life too. I can tell he doesn’t have much time left. He can walk and eat, but he’s loosing weight fast, so I know what’s gonna happen soon. Watching your vlog has helped me deal with it a bit better though.

Much love and aloha for you and Maisie,
    Becca

OMG. I can’t watch the whole thing. I miss My Little Miss Mary (Scottie) so much. I had to put her to sleep right before we moved to Italy a few years ago. I cried all the way to Amsterdam and then after I calmed down again, cried again for months.

I still have her ashes but I just found a Scottie marker under which to bury them.

My 3-year old Seamus just can’t replace her.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Maisie was a keeper.

I’m so sorry. I lost my cat this year. I’ve been going over the old footage I had of her. Can’t edit it. Sending some love your way. Hope it heals both of us.
