"The Machine is Us/ing Us"

February 9, 2007 | Filed under: technology

I’ve watched this several times today. I can’t stop watching it. It’s swimming around my head and I can’t get it out.

We will have to rethink…everything. And I for one am excited as hell about it.

very cool…..it’s something I think about myself all the time….that the web could, I say could, if we allow it to change everything….to bring us closer, to show how much we have in common, not just what is different….

    very cool indeed….

I caught this today as well after reading about it on a random visit to the vlogger group on yahoo.
I thought of reposting it as well.

That’s a pretty amazing video, it’s hard to belief that when I was graduating High School at home computers were *just* becoming commonplace. Look at us now!

People, get some perspective! It’s just reading and writing, after all.

Actually, Anonymous, it’s so exciting because it’s not just reading and writing. Unless it’s not exciting to you because you’re under ten years old and therefore have grown up on this stuff and it’s always been part of your daily existence. Books are reading and writing. Newspapers are reading and writing. We are in a new age of mass interactive media, art and communication.

Maybe it’s an age thing. I still find this all very magical and I’m only 37. It’s sort of lost on my Mom, but it’s old hat to my youngest nephew.

Or, maybe you just don’t get it. But that’s okay! There are millions of others who do. They’ll be the ones moving forward while you sit still and watch.

    Get comfy.

It’s scary that teenagers can’t write proper paragraphs and spell correctly anymore. Technology is making us all a little more stupid every day. Makes you want to go hmmmm??
