do si do

July 14, 2008 | Filed under: country mouse

Square dancing is seriously bigtime Saturday night fun, ’round these parts.

And it was seriously fun, even though our square was a hot mess. Now that we know our ‘allemande’ from our ‘do sa do‘ we’ll be ready to move on to more advanced moves.

I’m beginning to think you live in an M. Night Shamalan movie.

I agree. It’s like you’re going to walk up to the dark hut with the bright windows and witness a terrifying cultish ritual.
    And you did!
Isn’t country life a blast? Gotta get me some square dancing action. Urban irony is way overrated when good clean fun is involved.

what robert, valdez, and rupert said +1.

square dancing was a required part of gym class for me throughout my entire grammar school life, and you couldn’t get out of it unless you had a broken leg and a doctor’s note (seriously). as a result, square dancing and i will never be friends.

Looks like fun. I had friends who were regular square dancers for many many years. But…where are all the crinoline skirts in your video? Isn’t that a requirement for the women?

Glad you captured this snapshot - Wasn’t that apple pie sublime? Too bad the pros wouldn’t mingle with the amateurs so we could dance a little better! What a building - amazingly this was the former Shavertown schoolhouse! When’s the next one? :)

My styling tips for plumpy women - Stick to A-line skirts or straight skirts, its length should not be less than knee length. The accessories including shoes should be in matching to the clothes worn so that it gives an overall slimmer look.
