pink dress quest

March 3, 2009 | Filed under: 30 seconds and under, big easy, misadventures

SO, I just got back from New Orleans and I have mountains of footage on three different cameras (long story) and between the different cameras and all my compresion/codec/whatnot settings on my OLD computer that I totally forgot to write down before I left NY to put on my new computer and iMovie ‘09 which I TOTALLY dislike and have NO idea how to use and the fact that one of the cameras is a spiffy Xacti HD100 that changes everything ENTIRELY there’s been a delay in editing and posting. The jury is still out of the HD100.

You’ll likely be enjoying Mardi Gras footage for Easter.

There are some snippets shot with my photo camera I exported with the default (read “suck”) Quicktime settings that are worth posting, though, so I’ll put those up for now.

I miss New Orleans. I want a catfish po’boy like NOW.

ps: Lee’s brother was AT the second hardware store and wanted to note that it was, in fact, a yellow dress.

Looking forward to new footage. I’m still learning the whole uncompress crap before editing myself with Xacti waterroof. Seems it aint much quicker than shooting in DV and waiting to capture, edit then compress for web.
