The best thing about going through old footage is unearthing a gem you didn’t know you had. This is a treat from my family’s last visit to Planet Nana down in Miami. My 86 year old Nana is just too much. She’s sweet and sassy and ornery and funny and can at times be bitingly cruel, but damn, that old broad can dance!
She also really hates being filmed. She’ll pose for photos, but she made it clear early on that she didn’t want to be videotaped. It worked out well that half the time I had my camera out she thought it was a cellphone. Actually, she made it clear in 1983 that she hated being recorded. I guess I was a born vlogger: I was one of those annoying kids who carried a cassette recorder everyplace and tried to take interviews of friends and family or record important life events like my first unsupervised New Year’s Eve party. It was impossible to get Nana to talk on tape about her life.
I should dig that New Year’s Eve tape out.

Vlog posting month continues with the unbridled excitement of our front stoop being repaved. Try and keep from fainting from sheer exhilaration. Late for work, can’t wait for Flash transcoding. Perhaps by the time you click here it’ll be all Flashed out and ready to go!

A workspace in progress, from a call to expose workspaces from Rupert. Is someone keeping track of how often Valdez‘ desk is mentioned during NaVloPoMo? Someone should be. He may want to hire some extra protection. People are stalking his desk.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I. Hate. Chipmunks.

Oh, you knew it was coming. There’ll likely be a couple more. Short, sweet and to the point. Or, not to any point, really, just short and sweet.
