I think the Nativity Chocolate Candy Mold set is “currently unavailable” from Amazon.com not because it is a popular item but because it’s incredibly weird to want to make a little chocolate baby Jesus and eat him.

It’s that time of year again, when all the good boys and girls lie awake wishing and waiting and wondering: what will The Eyeglass Fairy leave on my kitchen counter today?
What? Oh. Maybe that’s just us.
One of my favorite things about small-town rural life is that you can go to the store, come back, and find strange unmarked gifts in your house. This is what happens when you live someplace where no one locks their doors. I freakin’ love it.
It didn’t take us long to figure out where they came from. The man has a killer collection, and upstate NY is really no place for a man to be wearing big vintage sunglasses…or is it…

I’d like to start NaVloPoMo off with a bang. For those who don’t know, NaVloPoMo is the video 1st cousin to the NaBloPoMo which itself is the half-brother of NaNoWriMo. Every day for a month? Pretty much the only thing I’m sure to do every day is brush my teeth (twice), but I want to give it a whirl! Today’s little video contains not only titles (gasp!) but also editing (whoa, Sister!) AND a special guest appearance! It’s like sweeps week, or something!
Not all NaVloPoMo-a-GoGo will receive such royal treatment. In fact, NaVloPoMo may have some gaps along the way and end up more like NoMoVloPoSo (No More Vlog Posts, Sorry). But dammit, I want to try.

This was supposed to be a video about fishing. It’s not. It’s a video of what was happening river-side while everyone else was fishing.
I love it when you set out to do a certain kind of video and end up with something completely different.

**Warning! Realistic blood and gore! (Because it is real. Duh.)*
November was Carp Caviar promo month, and I am a huge fan of all the carpyfishfun that goes on over at Bottom Union. I am also one of those people who does everything at the last possible moment (I’ve been procrastinating my whole life; drove my high school teachers nuts. I am not someone you’d want working on a 10th grade group project, or any other grade for that matter).
And so it was this year with my Carp Caviar promo. I didn’t gather the footage until after Thanksgiving, and I didn’t put the music together until the 28th, then we drove upstate to the house (no internet yet!) and the only available wi-fi is located in the center of town…sitting in the truck in the torrential rain and freezing cold to upload a video just wasn’t an appealing option. Also, the connection is weaker than the cocktails at a midtown hotel bar.
Excuses, excuses! So anyway, here it is in it’s gory glory. Did I mention it’s a wee bit gory? This is not a video for anyone who cannot stand the sight of blood or creepy surgical instruments. You’ve been warned. If bodily humours give you a case of the howling fantods, watch this or this instead.
