I can see your dilemma, MissBeh.

As well done as they are, the dilemma is clear.

That said, men are visual creatures and I dare not begrudge that aspect of masculinity without begrudging those parts of the feminine that are difficult for men to understand.

So long as the need / deed is not compulsive or exclusionary, why, live and let live is my motto.

In a way I agree with BatmanGeek that the original images shown before the drawn images do effect the way we look at the drawing.
I’m not sure that there was anything that really could have been done about this.
With that said. I still think that both the drawn images as well as the photos are what could be considered pornographic.
The female form has a strange power over the mind and emotions of man. The shapes and lines arouse us to…..well they just arouse.
This power to arouse could be intentional; by design. I mean how cool is it that God designed us to be able to enjoy the way our partner looks. It doesn’t necessarily serve a function, that we enjoy seeing the one we love naked other than it adds to the enjoyment of the sexual experience.
However with making this sight an enjoyable one also comes the danger that when other attractive people come into view enjoyment might be gleaned, which could then turn to lust, which could then eventually turn to other messy things like adultery, pornography addiction, etc etc.
No doubt the women in these images are physically attractive. The drawn images capture some of the beauty in their forms. The drawings show provocative positions and yet also leave to the imagination (to a certain extent) what is actually happening in these positions. I wonder if that doesn’t even further provoke the part of a person that takes enjoyment from these types of images.
Brian is an artist. His work is beautiful.
In my opinion these drawings do more than just show facets of the beauty of a women they provoke the mind to think sexually and to lust after the forms. In that sense, these drawings haven’t been “un-porned”.
Thanks for sharing this second part of this. I know that in part you wanted this to be part of a conversation. Please know that this comment has been written with that in mind. Again I applaud you and Brian for your openness and willingness to engage your viewers in conversation.
